Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Midseason Trailer Teases a Love Triangle That Will Make Your Head Spin

Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s midseason teaser is here and it’s just as dramatic as ever. Here’s everything that goes down with Gary King, Daisy Kelliher and a new romantic interest for the Stew.

Batten down the hatches—waters are getting rough on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Indeed, the teaser trailer for the second half of season five is here and, if the 90-second clip is to be believed, the drama is only going to be turned up from here on out.

And Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher is about to find herself in the middle of a thorny situation.

While she and First Mate Gary King have had, what she tells a fellow crew member in the teaser, “a very complicated relationship” up until now, it looks like the second half of the season will see Gary try to take things to the next level. As he asks his boatmate while the two are out to dinner, “Could you see a relationship with me?”

And while Daisy stutters through a non-answer, a possible romance between the two appears to grow only more complicated with the entrance of new deckhand Chase Lemacks, a season four fan favorite cast member who is brought on to replace the recently fired Emma Crouch.

In fact, it even looks like Chase and Daisy share a kiss during one of the crew nights out, causing Gary to shake his head as he looks away.

But that’s not the only drama promised in the back half of this already drama-filled season, complete with firings, arguments and rising tension between Daisy and Stew Danni Warren.

As Captain Glenn Shephard can be heard saying in the trailer’s opening, “Over the course of this season, there have been a fair share of big f–k ups that could have easily been avoided.”

And the subsequent montage of falls, drops and swears proves that particular trend is only going to continue. As Daisy tells an offscreen crew member, “We are all going to burn at the f–king stake.”

Which appears to be true, as Captain Glenn heatedly tells his team leads in a later scene, “I don’t want to take your guys’ tips, but you knew the rules, you broke the f–king rules, and now you’re getting upset.”

Yet, amid the drama, is also the fun that any season of Below Deck promises. With montages featuring steamy club nights, raucous boat excursions and even, per a guest request, full drag makeovers for each of the crew members, season five part two looks to be just getting underway.

And for more on the crew behind this season’s drama, read on.

Captain Glenn Shephard

Capt. Glenn and his expert crew set sail on Parsifal III to the luxury party capital of the world, Ibiza. While Ibiza is known for its sunny day parties and crystal-clear coast, it’s stormy waters ahead for the crew as they navigate blossoming boatmances, competitive co-workers and tense personal dynamics, all while trying to raise the bar every charter.

Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher

After a distracting love triangle last season that took her focus away from work, Daisy is ready to take the reins back in the interior department with a new sense of energy and determination. However, plans for a stress-free charter season are threatened when her stews question her leadership.

Chef Cloyce Martin

In the galley, Chef Cloyce charms the crew and guests but at only 22, he may be too inexperienced to meet the demands of the high-maintenance charter guests.

Deckhand Keith Allen

Stew Diana Cruz

Deckhand Emma Crouch
