Below Deck Sailing Yachtstar Keith Allen has made a major impression on the charter season and the viewers of the franchise, establishing him as a favorite and someone who the franchise needs for its future. Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 has been disappointing in a lot of ways, but Keith has been a bright spot in a dizzying and dark season. Keith, who’s been working as one of the deckhands aboard Parsifal III under Captain Glenn Shephard, came to Below Deck Sailing Yacht with a fair bit of experience under his belt.
Throughout the season thus far, Keith’s been able to impress both Captain Glenn and his direct supervisor, First Officer Gary King. While Keith’s abilities have been strong, there’s always room for improvement as a yachtie, and Keith’s been good at taking the feedback he’s given to implement for his next time on deck. As a leader, Keith’s done well among the deck team to rally the troops and ensure that the team has the necessary strength to get through each charter with ease. With such a smart, team-oriented mindset, Keith has set himself apart as an ideal Below Deck yachtie.
Keith Is Experienced & Hardworking
He Knows What He’s Doing
Although Keith doesn’t have as much experience as some of the more senior yachties on Parsifal III, he’s been able to use his experience to his advantage. Keith, who came into Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 with over a decade’s worth of yachting experience, understands the ins and outs of the sailing yacht like the experts. While he’s been working with long-term yachtie Gary closely, Keith has been able to prove that he knows what he’s doing and deserves to be treated with a high level of respect on deck.
Although Keith was getting flirty with Danni Warren earlier in the season, he’s been clear that he’s single and open to dating during his time on the series. Boatmances have never been entirely successful on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, as proven by the massive falling out between the love triangle last season. Even so, Keith appears not to be deterred by his time aboard Parsifal III and its drama.
Instead of feeling like he has to pursue something just because he’s on board, Keith appears to be taking his time making connections on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5. While nothing has been solidified, it seems possible that Keith and Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher could be building a connection during their time on the sailing yacht. It’s possible Keith won’t be single by the end of the season.
Keith Provides Comedic Relief
He Works Hard With Humor
Although Keith isn’t as big a part of Bravo’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht as some of the other more dramatic yachties, he’s been a major source of levity on the series. Keith has made it clear that he doesn’t take himself of his job too seriously, though he understands when to be serious about his work. Keith’s sense of humor has been a saving grace aboard Parsifal III, making both the crew and the guests laugh in necessary moments.
Will Keith Return For Another Below Deck Season?
He Could Be Back Soon

Although nothing has been formally announced, Keith is likely to return for another season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht or another series from the franchise. While Keith has experience as a yachtie, which means he could likely work aboard most superyachts he sets his sights on, his time on Below Deck appears to have been a fun experience for the deckhand. With Gary likely set to leave Below Deck Sailing Yacht in the future, it’s possible Keith could return and take his place.
Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
