Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent discusses her experience with the Los Angeles wildfires, which have been raging throughout Southern California since Tuesday.
Lala shared on her Instagram Stories on Thursday that the poor air quality in Los Angeles was affecting her infant daughter Sosa’s breathing.
“This morning Sosa woke up and was really struggling to breathe,” Lala wrote on the social media platform. She added: “I made the decision to pack my family up and come to Palm Springs, strictly based on the air quality. This is where we will stay until LA is safe again.”
The Bravo personality birthed her second child Sosa on September 3, 2024, sharing Sosa and her first daughter Ocean, whom she had in 2021, with her ex-fiance Randall Emmett.

Lala talked about how “devastating” the wildfires were in her post. “This is one of the most devastating situations I have ever seen,” she added. “At this point, if you were not directly affected, you know someone who has lost everything.’
Further expressing her feelings about the disastrous destruction, she added: “’I’m obsessing over how we could be so underprepared.” She explained that her “heart is shattered” for her “community.”
Lala informed her supporters that, unlike many Californians, she thankfully was not “directly affected” by the wildfires.
“We have not been directly affected, and I’m trying to feel grateful for that — it’s hard because of what I’m seeing other people go through,” Lala divulged. She admitted she was “sad” and also “angry,” emphasizing that there were “looters” and “lack of water.”
However, she noted that she’d “save that rant for a later date.” Lala praised the firefighters working hard to bring the fires under control in a second Instagram Stories post.
“For now, all I want to do is say thank you to our firefighters and first responders. Our city’s heroes,” she penend.
She continued, “And to everyone affected — I know you feel alone. You are not alone.”
The Pacific Palisades fire that began earlier this week in the west Los Angeles neighborhood was the first in the string of fires that followed. The heavy wind and lack of rain fueled the fires, causing the flames to grow ferociously.
Over 10,000 buildings have been burnt in the LA wildfires and at least 10 people have died because of the wildfires.
