Below Deck Sailing Yacht: Daisy Kelliher & Diana Cruz Are Feuding (Is Daisy The New Villain Of The Series?)

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 has a brand-new feud between Daisy Kelliher and Diana Cruz, which has positioned the long-time Chief Stew as the show’s potential new villain. Daisy, who’s been part of Below Deck Sailing Yacht since early seasons, has been working in the yachting industry for the better part of a decade and has been part of Captain Glenn Shephard’s crew for half of her time in the industry. While Daisy has a lot to learn with each passing charter, she knows her way around a yacht and understands what it takes to give great guest service.

While Daisy has been doing her best to keep her stews under control on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, the Chief Stew has had a hard time with Diana and Danni Warren throughout the early days of the charter season. Diana and Danni seem to be questioning Daisy’s authority in different ways, and Diana appears to be in a full-fledged feud with Daisy after the most recent episode of the series. Diana, who some are convinced is a producer plant intent on stirring up drama throughout Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, has had a difficult time following orders.

Though there are issues with Danni, as well, Diana and Daisy’s drama has hit new heights as they’ve moved further into the charter season. Despite knowing that there are bigger issues to deal with as Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 continues, Diana has been working against Daisy, but Daisy hasn’t been providing clear direction or feedback without seeming to snap at the Below Deck yachtie. While Diana may not be a producer plant, there are some issues she needs to deal with if she’s going to continue in the industry, while Daisy needs to solidify her sense of authority.

Diana Called Out Daisy’s Behavior On The Show

She’s Not Letting Daisy Off The Hook

After one of the most recent episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, it was clear that Diana and Daisy’s relationship wouldn’t necessarily be able to run smoothly. While Daisy is the Chief Stew and has the bulk of the responsibility of delegation on her hands, she was hoping to get Diana to utilize some of her off time to learn about making cocktails, which Diana’s explained she lacks knowledge in. Though Diana wanted to learn more about making drinks aboard the yacht, she didn’t want to use her limited downtime to do so, even when Daisy pushed back.

After the episode aired, Diana took to social media and shared a screenshot from ChatGPT, where she’d asked about whether or not employees like to work during their break times. While it was snarky, it was clear that Diana was still irritated by Daisy encroaching on her personal time, and that she wanted to make it clear that she’d said no because she was on her break, not for another reason. Though Diana tried to be succinct, she was still calling Daisy out on her behavior. Diana made it clear that she didn’t want to let Daisy off the hook.

Daisy Doesn’t Follow Diana On Instagram

She’s Following Other Season 5 Castmates

Although Diana and Daisy had a rough time aboard Parsifal III, some of which remains to be seen, many have wondered if they’d move past their issues to become friends by the end of the season. Although it’s more standard that the crew of a superyacht doesn’t stay close after they dock for the final time, some superyacht crews are able to put aside their differences and move forward together, resolving any problems they had on board or simply leaving them behind and ignoring them entirely. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Daisy and Diana were able to find common ground.

Currently, Daisy doesn’t follow Diana on Instagram, which doesn’t bode well for their friendship considering the other cast members of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 are on Daisy’s following list. While Daisy and Diana may not be following each other for other reasons, it’s clear that their feud took a toll on their relationship during Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5. Daisy’s decision not to follow Diana ensures that she doesn’t see Diana’s posts, which speak about her in a backhanded way. If their relationship existed after Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, they’d likely be following each other.

Daisy Never Retaliated Against Diana

She May Understand She Was In The Wrong

Although Daisy and Diana have been struggling throughout Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, Daisy’s actions may suggest that she knows she’s in the wrong when it comes to her treatment of Diana. Though Daisy and Diana have had a disagreement that could be seen from both sides, Diana not wanting to work through her break is far more understandable than Daisy pushing her to do so. Despite knowing that Diana could’ve practiced her bartending skills after taking her break, the Chief Stew of Parsifal III wanted to rush Diana into something to make her work life a bit easier.

Diana spoke up against the way Daisy was treating her, but it’s notable that Daisy never retaliated against her stew. Rather than using the power she has as Chief Stew to get Diana in trouble with the Captain or discipline her as her superior. Instead, Daisy was irritated with Diana, talked about her with Danni, and moved on to the next task on her to do list. If Diana had actually been in the wrong, it’s likely that Daisy would’ve retaliated against her and made things a bit more difficult for the stew. Instead, she brushed off the minor issue.

Is Daisy The Villain Of Season 5?

She’s Been Having A Tough Time

Although Daisy has always been someone that viewers have been happy to see on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, it’s possible that she’s been growing to become a villain over the last few seasons. With Daisy’s breakup from former Chief Engineer looming over the season and her estrangement from First Officer Gary King coloring viewers’ perceptions of her, Daisy isn’t the same as she once was. While viewers don’t expect Daisy not to change and grow in her life, her nature seems to be changing with her situation. Daisy could easily be the villain of Below Deck Sailing Yacht moving forward.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
