Gary Allegedly Isn’t Returning To The Series Next Season
Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 has been difficult for viewers, but the show is sending out a beacon of hope with its mid-season trailer, revealing a potentially exciting storyline for bad boy Gary King despite his poor behavior. Gary, who has been dealing with the fallout of his sexual misconduct allegations throughout Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, hasn’t been featured as heavily throughout the first half of the season. Though Gary has been featured less, he’s still been having a tough time throughout the season with difficult yachties and interpersonal issues between him and Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher.
In the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 mid-season trailer, there’s a whole new storyline that could make things interesting for Gary and Daisy, as they’ve become bunkmates for the time being. Gary and Daisy’s friendship has been going through a rough patch throughout the season after Gary spoke to Daisy in a way she didn’t like during the show’s last reunion, leaving the pair in awkward territory. After he spent Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 jealous of Daisy and Colin Macrae’s relationship, it appears Gary will spend the second half of this season jealous of deckhand Keith Allen.
In the mid-season trailer, Daisy and Keith are shown sharing a kiss after some interesting chatter about the nature of Daisy and Gary’s relationship. After sharing a hug, Daisy explains that “Gary and I share an interesting relationship,” as she tearfully speaks to another member of the yacht crew. After the clip of Daisy and Keith’s kiss while out for the night, a shot of Gary looking frustrated and overhwlmed is shown in the same location, making it possible that he’s caught sight of his longtime friend kissing someone. Gary’s jealousy wouldn’t be surprising, and could spruce up the season.
