BravoCon 2023 was an awkward one among the Vanderpump Rules cast to say the least. Between Scheana Shay’s “weird” hang out in Tom Sandoval’s hotel room, and Tom getting booed on stage, it was definitely a drama filled weekend!
But the major question of the night was how did Sandoval and Schwartz feel about sharing the stage with their exes?
BravoCon 2023 has come and gone, but not without a few awkward run-ins.
Before the weekend kicked off, Tom Sandoval admitted he was nervous to face Ariana Madix and the VPR fans going into the event.
On his new podcast, Everybody Loves Tom, Tom got real about his anxieties in advance of BravoCon.
He shared that he was feeling “nervous” about confrontation.
“If she comes out, it’s like, ‘Yay,’ [or] whatever,” he said on the podcast. “Then I come out and people are going to want to show their, like, loyalty to Team Ariana or whatever, and I’m a little nervous about that.”
He added, “I have a feeling there could possibly be some people that … feel they need to confront me.”
So how did the bartender feel amid the BravoCon chaos?
Tom told Us Weekly that Ariana “looked good” when he was asked how it felt to run-in with his former girlfriend.
Tom Schwartz chimed in noting that Ariana was “killing it on Dancing with the Stars.”
Sandoval agreed.
Schwartz then opened up about his relationship with ex-wife Katie Maloney, but not before he revealed she “burned” him during the VPR panel when she said he “looked like a couch.”
“I don’t look like a couch,” Schwartz laughed.
When asked if he and Katie were “in a good place,” the reality star said they were.
“Yea, we were in a rough patch for a long time,” he said. “You’ll see some of it this season, but right now I feel like we’re great.”
He added, “Cordial, happy to see each other…but very clear about the boundaries.”
The 41-year-old confirmed that he and Katie were not getting back together despite rumors after the ex-couple remained such good friends.
“You heard it here first. We are never, ever getting back together,” Schwartz sang to the tune of Taylor Swift.
Sandoval joked with his business partner by gasping and questioning “You’re not!?” when Schwartz admitted he and Katie were never getting back together.

Although Schwartz confirmed that fans will see more from him and Katie during the next season, there was no sign of that during the surprise sneak peek that Bravo dropped over the weekend.
The brief Season 11 trailer started off with the entire group at the beach as James Kennedy is seen drawing a line in the sand, admitting he was splitting the sides between Ariana and Sandoval.
Another scene shows Katie telling Scheana Shay that if she decides to be friends with Tom, Ariana is going to “f*cking cut [her] off.”
“So think about your next move very carefully,” Katie told Scheana.
However, the most intense moment came at the end of the sneak peek when Ariana accused Tom of “attempting” to kill her dog.
“Ruin my life, my home and then f*cking attempt to kill my f*cking dog. My lawyer will be dealing with you,” she shouted at her ex.
The clip ended with Tom leaving the beach muttering “I’m out,” while Ariana is shown laughing.
