RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 competitor Suzie Toot has revealed the brilliant way she responded to being shaded by some of her fellow Drag Race stars.
While the tap-dancing, top four-circling Suzie Toot did supremely well on season 17 – she won two challenges in the first five episodes, and didn’t place below safe until *spoiler* she went home in fifth place – her self-assuredness divided the fandom.
Even some of the show’s most notable alumni – particularly All Stars 4 winner Trinity The Tuck and season four’s Willam – had plenty to say about her.
During an appearance at Chicago’s premium gay bar Roscoe’s Tavern in March, Trinity told the crowd that she was “not feeling” Suzie.
“Not her drag, her. Her drag is fine, her. It’s not that I hate her, I just am not vibing with this like, ‘better than thou’ attitude. She’s the only one that I don’t follow,” Trinity admitted.
“I don’t get that. I’m like, girl, I won a lot of pageants before I went on Drag Race and I never made my competitors that way she makes her competitors feel. I think that’s so gross and immature. If you are that girl, you do not have to say you are that girl.”
Meanwhile, on Willam and Alaska’s Race Chaser podcast, Willam has made it clear that Suzie Toot is far from her favourite competitor on season 17.
Suzie Toot has now revealed the iconic way she responded to both Trinity and William’s shady comments about her.
“I have not had a conversation with Mrs. Tuck,” she told Entertainment Weekly following her elimination from the show in last week’s RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! audition episode, “How’s Your Headliner?”
“I don’t harbour ill will at all. I’m coming out with merch that says, ‘F**k Suzie Toot,’ and I did send one to Trinity, because I thought she’d appreciate it. I think I’ve learned her taste by now, and I think she’d like it,” she revealed.
Suzie confirmed that she got Trinity’s contact details through her management, rather than through her season 17 co-stars Sam Star and Jewels Sparkles, who are both in Trinity The Tuck’s drag family.

“I sent one to Willam, I sent one to Lexi [Love]. I want it to be a big thing. People say it all the time, so I figured I’d give them a uniform to wear,” Suzie added.
Throughout season 17, Suzie’s co-stars made it known that they were quietly bothered by Suzie’s early-season success, with Lexi Love being particularly on edge around Suzie’s confidence.
During the “Drag Baby Mamas” makeover challenge, Lexi revealed that she felt insecure around Suzie as she felt she could’ve had Suzie’s confidence and theatre experience had she not experienced homelessness and substance addiction in her youth.
Despite their obvious on-screen differences, Suzie has revealed that she and Lexi are “very cool” and “friends” now.

Speaking to Vulture, Suzie revealed that she realised Lexi had a “serious” issue with her during the Roast challenge in episode 10.
“She’d made comments during Snatch Game about being next to me, blah, blah, blah. I thought it was funny – she’s insecure, it’s all good. At the roast, when she got really mad about being placed next to me, I was like, ‘Oh, there’s real genuine insecurity here that’s debilitating,” she explained.
“But what I find so brilliant about Lexi is that her heart is on her sleeve for better or for worse, and she will admit when she f**ks up or when she gets crazy. And she had that moment definitely after the roast. So it never really tripped me up; I just thought it was more fascinating than anything else that she was so bothered by my presence.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 continues on MTV on Fridays in the US and WOW Presents Plus internationally.
