It’s suddenly a Sullivan’s Crossing summer.

The Canadian series has been airing for two years, but it gained a whole new audience when it was added to Netflix on July 8. Based on the book series by author Robyn Carr, the romantic drama first premiered in March 2023 on CTV and later debuted on The CW.

Sullivan’s Crossing follows Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan), a neurosurgeon who returns to Timberlake, her quaint hometown in Nova Scotia, Canada. There, she slowly reconnects with figures from her past, including her estranged father Harry “Sully” Sullivan (Scott Patterson), who runs a campground, Sullivan’s Crossing.

Shortly after her return, Maggie finds love. Though their initial meeting started on the wrong foot, she eventually falls for a new face in town, California “Cal” Jones (Chad Michael Murray), a mysterious local handyman with whom she becomes romantically involved.

Yes, there is a season 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing, and it is currently airing on The CW. The latest installment premiered on the network on May 14.

In a May 2025 interview with The Canadian Press, Murray said, “We’ve spent the first two seasons really painting the picture, discovering who these characters are … and this year we got to do a little bit more play.”

The actor continued, “These characters could really continue to evolve and get outside of their comfort zone. I think that you’re going to go on an emotional journey with a little bit of spice this year, and I just feel like everything’s elevated. So get ready, season 3 is the best of them yet.”

The first two seasons are also available on The CW platforms and Netflix.

Like the first two seasons, Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 has 10 episodes.

In December 2024, when The CW renewed Sullivan’s Crossing for a third season, showrunner and executive producer Roma Roth said in a statement via Deadline, “I am beyond thrilled that we get to continue telling this beautiful story about love and family with this extraordinary cast.”

She added, “The love and support from both the fans and The CW has been overwhelming, and we can’t wait to show them what we have in store next.”

When is the Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 finale?

The Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 finale airs July 16 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. The episode, “Head to the Heart,” will be available to stream the following day on The CW app and website.

In May 2025, after the season 3 premiere on The CW, Roth told The Canadian Press that Sullivan’s Crossing is “supposed to be a show that’s a life-preserver in tumultuous times for people.”

“We’re trying to … give the audience journeys with the characters that they can identify with and connect with,” she continued. “So you have to walk a fine line between aspirational television and meaningful and deep storylines.”

“I think the goal is for the show to walk that line carefully,” Roth added.

Has Sullivan’s Crossing been renewed for season 4?

Yes, Sullivan’s Crossing is coming back for a fourth season. Carr confirmed the renewal news in a June 2025 Instagram post, with the caption, “The story continues.”

While plot details for season 4 haven’t been revealed, in a July 2025 Collider interview, Roth teased a “big shoe drop” moment at the end of the current season.

“There’s never a dull moment at Sullivan’s Crossing. A romance drama series needs to have push and pull between your characters,” she shared. “We’re going to have a pretty big shoe drop at the end of the season that we’ll get to see play out in Season 4.”
