The Vivienne’s ex-husband shared a video from their wedding

Days after the death of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK former winner The Vivienne, the star’s ex-husband David Ludford has shared footage from their wedding

David Ludford, the former husband of the late drag queen The Vivienne, has shared footage from their wedding.

On Sunday, a statement shared that The Vivienne died that weekend at the age of 32. As many in the drag queen community mourned the former RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner, so did The Vivienne’s ex-husband.

David and The Vivienne met in 2017 and later married before divorcing a year ago. Late on Monday night, David reshared someone’s Instagram Story on his own of his wedding day.

The story was a video of David and The Vivienne slow dancing together at their big event, making history as the first couple to marry at the popular gay club Heaven in London, England. On the post, David added a broken heart emoji.

Also on David’s story, was a collage of pictures of him and The Vivienne both in and out of drag, and showed the former couple posing together on vacations, in front of a Christmas tree, with Snapchat filters on. In the bottom right corner, David put a broken heart emoji and a white dove emoji.

He also has shared posts others made mourning the star and shared information about a vigil for the late drag queen set for this upcoming Sunday at St. George’s Plateau in Liverpool, England. In David’s original tribute post to his ex-husband, he shared his love for The Vivienne even though they had been divorced a while.

“My heart literally sank when I got the call!!” he wrote, “My heart is shattered!!! Never in a million years did I think I’d ever be writing anything like this about @thevivienne_.”

David continued: “This man changed my life so much from the day we first met in August 2017 in Gran Canaria!! We literally clicked straight away and we knew we was going to be together for along time!! He made me feel love and shown me what it was really like to love someone.”

He wrote: “I’m so happy to say I not only met you but we was together, we was husbands and you was the biggest part of my left for such a long time! 6 years is such a long time to spend 24/7 with you will always always have a place in my heart.”

The tribute post ended: “Going to miss you more than people will ever know sleep tight angel.”
